Minis Rugby

Canucks Minis is our grassroots program for our youngest members of the club. Our main goal with Minis is safe, fun and respectful rugby. This is an introductory level played on smaller fields, focused on the very basics of the game. U5, U7 and U9 run as co-ed teams and games are non-contact flag and touch.

We want to provide our Minis with positive initial rugby experiences, hoping to create an interest level to progress them to our Junior program in the future. Minis is a great way for all kids of shapes and sizes to stay active outside, while having fun and learning a new sport.

U11 RUGBY

U11 - U15
(NC) RUGBY

U11 - U15 NON-CONTACT (NC)

NON-CONTACT (NC): We understand that rugby can be an intimidating sport initially for some of our younger players with unfamiliar rules combined with the physical nature of the game. The U11-U15 Non-Contact team is part of a recently created division for players who are looking to play flag/non-contact, might be new to the game or are simply aren’t ready yet for contact. This allows players to stay involved with our sport through a positive environment, focused on skill development and provides them with more time to progress confidence with contact safely.
